1. Prashant Bhushan case | Supreme Court to pronounce sentence A three-judge Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra will on Monday pronounce its sentence on civil rights lawyer Prashant Bhushan, found guilty of criminal contempt for two tweets.
2. GDP numbers for first quarter to be released The National Statistical Office under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation will come out with the GDP estimates for the first quarter (April, May June) of the current financial year.
3. GST dues | Several State Finance Ministers to hold video conference “A video conference will be held with other State Finance Ministers on Monday afternoon. A separate memorandum will be submitted by the States. But we are trying to reach a common ground and ask the Centre to avail loan to provide GST compensation. It is not clear if the BJP-ruled States will stick to their stance. A unified stand will be aired in the GST Council,” Kerala FM Thomas Issac has said.
