1. Prashant Bhushan case | Supreme Court to pronounce sentence  A three-judge Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra will on Monday pronounce its sentence on civil rights lawyer Prashant Bhushan, found guilty of criminal contempt for two tweets.
2. GDP numbers for first quarter to be released The National Statistical Office under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation will come out with the GDP estimates for the first quarter (April, May June) of the current financial year.
3. GST dues | Several State Finance Ministers to hold video conference “A video conference will be held with other State Finance Ministers on Monday afternoon. A separate memorandum will be submitted by the States. But we are trying to reach a common ground and ask the Centre to avail loan to provide GST compensation. It is not clear if the BJP-ruled States will stick to their stance. A unified stand will be aired in the GST Council,” Kerala FM Thomas Issac has said.
4. Rains claim 8 lives in MP, cause flooding in parts of Gujarat and Odisha - follow up  Heavy rains pounded Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, which reported eight deaths in the last two days, inundating vast swathes of land and causing the rivers to swell, while several villages in coastal Odisha were inundated on Sunday by the floodwaters of the Mahanadi river.

IOC’s LPG carriers’ strike; 6 lakh customers hit in NE States - follow up With the strike by LPG cylinder transporters continuing for the fourth day, PSU major Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on Sunday said that nearly six lakh customers across the Northeastern region have been affected due to non-delivery of cooking gas.
7. Pakistan, Afghan officials to meet on Monday in Kabul to strengthen bilateral ties Pakistan Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood will lead the Pakistani delegation, while the Afghan side will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab at the second review meeting of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).
8. UAE ended commercial boycott of Israel Monday’s flight of an El Al plane from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi will be the first known flight of an Israeli commercial airliner from Israel to the Emirates.
9. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments  The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 36,19,126 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The toll from the disease stands at 64,639.
