1. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 23,95,583 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The toll from the disease stands at 47,148.
2. PM to launch ‘transparent taxation’ platform “At 11 am on Thursday, 13th August, the platform for ‘Transparent Taxation — Honoring the Honest’ would be launched. This adds strength to our efforts of reforming and simplifying our tax system. It will benefit several honest tax payers, whose hardwork powers national progress,” Modi tweeted.

Sushant Singh Rajput death case: Supreme Court to hear another PIL on Thursday The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Thursday a PIL seeking an “unified” CBI probe into the death case of the Bollywood actor, contending that “the entire country is shocked with the way the Mumbai Police is handling this case”.
