1. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 17,51,885 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 37,406. 2. Rajasthan political crisis | Gehlot ready to welcome Pilot camp In a reversal of his stand, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday said if the Congress high command forgave the rebels, including former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, then he would also welcome them back in the fold. 3. Credit guarantee extended to larger firms The Centre has expanded its credit guarantee scheme for micro, small and medium enterprises to cover loans given to larger firms, as well as to self-employed people and professionals who have taken loans for business purposes, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Saturday. 4. Second round of sero survey continues in Delhi, extended till August 7 Originally a five-day exercise from August 1-5 that began with four districts on Saturday, the serological survey will span all districts and cover various demographic segments. 5. Astronauts face final leg of SpaceX test flight: coming home Despite the approaching Hurricane Isaias, NASA said the weather looks favourable for a Sunday afternoon splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico near Panama City, Florida. It will be the first U.S. splashdown for astronauts in 45 years.

IPL GC agenda: Members to get update on government’s green light, Chinese sponsorship deals While the BCCI is all set to shift the league to the United Arab Emirates, it is learnt that status of government’s clearance is top-most in the 10-point agenda of the Brijesh Patel-led governing council.
