Rajasthan political crisis | High Court to decide on Sachin Pilot camp plea against disqualification notices The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to restrain the Rajasthan High Court from passing order on a plea of sacked deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and 18 other dissident Congress MLAs challenging the disqualification notice against them and said it would be subject to the outcome of petition before the apex court. 3. LAC standoff | Fresh round of talks likely on Friday Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said another round of diplomatic talks under the framework of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) is expected to be scheduled soon. People familiar with the developments said the diplomatic talks are likely to take place as early as Friday. 4. Babri Masjid demolition case trial | L.K. Advani slated to depose before CBI court through video link on Friday Murli Manohar Joshi on Thursday asserted before a special CBI court that he was innocent and implicated in the case by the then Congress government at the Centre. 5. SC hearing on Tablighi Jamaat case The Supreme Court said it would hear on July 24 the pleas filed by foreigners challenging the Centre's orders that blacklisted more than 2,700 citizens of 35 countries from travelling to India for 10 years for alleged involvement in Tablighi Jamaat activities. 6. Liquor vends outside cantonment zones during weekend curfews to remain open in U.P. A government order said, "All the liquor shops in the State, which are located outside the containment zones, have been exempted from the lockdown, which is imposed in the state every week from Friday 10.00 pm to Monday 5.00 am." As per the order, shops selling country-made liquor, foreign liquor, beer and 'bhaang' and model shops can remain open daily from 10 am to 9 pm. 7. ASHA workers to stage taluk level protests in Karnataka on Friday They have been agitating since July 10 pressing a charter of demands including increasing their salary to Rs. 12,000 per month instead of approximately Rs. 6,000 a month, COVID-19 insurance and PPE kits. 8. Odisha Governor in hospital for 'routine' check-up A Raj Bhavan source said the Governor is likely to be discharged on Friday. 9. U.K. charity plans virtual festival to raise funds for rural India Action Village India (AVI) said the Madras Café Unlocked event, which runs from Friday till Sunday, will feature an all-digital range of content including exhibitions, talks and yoga sessions. 10. Beijing set to reopen cinemas with 30 percent attendance Beijing is set to reopen cinemas again in its "low-risk areas" on July 24, officials said, but attendance will be capped at 30 per cent and no concessions sold, according to a Chinese news outlet. 11.
