1. Supreme Court allows restricted Puri Rath Yatra A day before the scheduled date of the yatra, the court opted to bow out, faced with over a dozen intervention applications represented by a galaxy of prominent lawyers seeking a recall of the ban. It left the conduct of a safe yatra to the State of Odisha and the temple management. The court simply said it did not want to "micro-manage" the festival. 2. India's coronavirus death toll crosses 14,000; cases cross 4,40,000 Goa reported its first COVID-19 fatality on Monday as the countrywide death toll from the disease jumped by over 440 while Delhi surpassed Tamil Nadu to become the second worst-hit state though authorities said the situation in the national capital was getting stabilised gradually. 3. Coronavirus | DGCA eases quarantine norms for pilots and cabin crew The DGCA on Monday eased quarantine norms for pilots and cabin crew and dispensed with the need for the entire crew to be sent on a mandatory 14-day quarantine in case anyone aboard a flight tested positive for COVID-19. Instead, airlines can conduct a risk assessment and take a decision accordingly.  4. Ward-wise total lockdown to be imposed in coronavirus-hit Guwahati: Assam health minister Ward-wise total lockdown will be imposed in Guwahati as the situation in the city has turned "alarming" with 144 persons without travel history testing positive for COVID-19 here in the last two days, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday.
5. CBSE to inform SC of its position on pending board exams in closed cover today The Central Board of Secondary Education will inform the Supreme Court of its position on pending board examinations on Tuesday, and let the Court take a final call on cancellation, according to senior officials at the Human Resource Development Ministry. The SC is hearing a plea by a group of parents of CBSE students who wish the exams to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 6. Pirated editions of John Bolton memoir have appeared online John Bolton's memoir officially comes out Tuesday after surviving a security review and a legal challenge from the Justice Department. But over the weekend, it was available in ways even his publisher is hoping to prevent. A PDF of "The Room Where It Happened" has turned up on the internet, offering a free, pirated edition of the former national security adviser's scathing takedown of President Donald Trump, who has alleged that the book contains classified material that never should have been released.  7. Jaishankar to join Chinese, Russian foreign ministers at RIC meet on Tuesday External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will join his Chinese and Russian counterparts at a virtual conference of the Russia-India-China trilateral on Tuesday, against the backdrop of New Delhi's frayed ties with Beijing over the Galwan Valley clashes. As the June 15 incident triggered fears of fresh confrontation between troops of India and China, Russia is learnt to have reached out to both the countries, urging them to resolve the border row through talks. 8. Monsoon will enter Uttarakhand, UP on Tuesday: IMD Monsoon will enter parts of Uttarakhand and nearby areas of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Anand Sharma, IMD Deputy Director, said that monsoon will cover Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan from June 24-25. "Monsoon will enter parts of Uttarakhand and nearby areas of Uttar Pradesh on June 23. From June 24-25, the monsoon will cover, UP, Haryana, Punjab and parts of Rajasthan," Anand said. 9. Boris Johnson to announce lockdown easing plans on Tuesday Prime Minister Boris Johnson will unveil the latest easing of Britain's coronavirus lockdown on Tuesday when he will also announce the conclusion of a review into whether a two-metre rule on social distancing should be relaxed, his office said. Britain's economy has been hammered by the lockdown to stop the spread of COVID-19 and although non-essential retailers were allowed to reopen last Monday, many businesses, particularly in the hospitality and leisure sectors, have remained closed.
 10. Macron to discuss EU rescue plan with 'frugal' Dutch French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the Netherlands Tuesday for talks with Prime Minister Mark Rutte on a massive EU coronavirus recovery fund that has met with Dutch resistance. The leaders will meet in The Hague on Tuesday afternoon before sitting down to a working dinner, the French presidency said. 11. Three Pakistan cricketers test COVID-19 positive ahead of team's departure to England - followup Pakistan cricketers Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and rookie Haider Ali on Monday tested positive for the novel coronavirus. "The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed three players — Haider Ali, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan — have tested positive for Covid-19," said the PCB in a statement
