1. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments

The number of coronavirus cases in India stands at 309556 with the death toll at 8890. Even as India crossed the 3,00,000 mark in positive coronavirus cases on Friday the Health Ministry said the doubling time for cases in the country had improved to 17.4 days.

2. Nepal's Parliament likely to vote on new map today

A house meeting has been scheduled for Saturday as per the Parliament's notice and the matter relating to the constitution amendment bill is likely to come during the meeting, parliamentary sources said; India talks about friendly ties with Nepal ahead of vote.

3. Coronavirus | Trump considering suspending H1B visa

US President Donald Trump is considering suspending a number of employment visas including the H-1B, most sought-after among Indian IT professionals, in view of the massive unemployment in America due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

4. Man killed in Nepal firing - follow up

The incident took place some 75 metres inside the Nepalese territory from the no-man's land. Senior officials of the local police, administration and the SSB are at the spot and a flag meeting is expected latest by Saturday.

5. Woman killed in Pakistan firing - follow up

A 48-year-old woman was killed after Pakistani troops violate ceasefire along the Line of Control in Rampur sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, the fifth day of unprovoked ceasefire violation. An Army jawan was killed and a civilian injured on Thursday.

6. Delhi HC directs North Delhi Municipal Corporation to have two cremation platforms at Nithari by Saturday - follow up

The court was hearing a plea by the village residents challenging the corporation's move to demolish the existing cremation platforms and build 12 new sheds for the same.
