1) Coronavirus | latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India is 5,49,189 with the death toll at 16,480.
2) Supreme Court to hear plea on CA exams A view of the Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court will on Monday urgently hear a petition vital to the rights of nearly five lakh chartered accountancy (CA) students slated to take their exams between July 29 and August 16 amid the surge in COVID-19 cases.
3) FIR against Baba Ramdev, others on COVID-19 cure claims Police have registered a First Information Report against yoga guru Ramdev and four others for allegedly conspiring to sell a fake Ayurveda medicine with a misleading claim to cure Covid-19 following clinical trials on some patients. The FIR said the claim had been made without getting the Union AYUSH Ministry's approval.
4) Congress to hold protests, submit memorandums to President against petroleum, diesel price hikes The Congress will hold a nationwide agitation on Monday against the rising prices of petrol and diesel and its MPs, MLAs and leaders will submit memorandums to President Ram Nath Kovind demanding a withdrawal of the hikes.
5) Over 1 lakh travelled on Rajasthan Roadways buses on June 27: Official People waiting in a camp for boarding the Shramik Special Express Rajasthan Roadways buses in New Delhi Based on the demand of people from Monday, over 430 trips will be made on over 200 routes by Rajasthan Roadways throughout the State.
6) Plea in Delhi High Court for uniform procedure for arrests by police The petition by financial economist Abhijit Mishra also seeks direction to the Centre and Delhi government and police to make a comprehensive compensation policy and procedure for illegal detention and arrest of any person.
7) India to block Chinese Taipei, Japan's WTO panel request in ICT tariff case India will block the requests of Japan and Chinese Taipei for setting up of a dispute settlement panel at the World Trade Organization (WTO) against New Delhi's customs duties on imports of certain information and communications technology (ICT) products, an official said.
8) Fresh round of Post-Brexit trade talks Representatives from the UK and EU will meet today in Brussels to begin the first of several negotiating rounds regarding a comprehensive trade deal.
