"We have been forced to change, whether we like it or not … people will go back to offices, but work from home, remote offices, are the future," "Shark Tank" investor Robert Herjavec told Carl Quintanilla yesterday in a conversation about the long-term impacts of commercial rents and the future of work. He added that he is starting to see those "silver linings in the economy," but is thinking realistically about the office footprint of his company and for businesses around the country. Will work from home impair office and real estate demand? Herjavec says definitely: "We are living the future right now." More from that interview below.
A Facebook spokeswoman confirmed to CNBC that most employees will be allowed to work from home through the end of 2020, while most of their offices will begin to open on July 6. We'll keep our eyes on what tech titans do with their office spaces and how they continue to inform some future of work decision-making.
