"Coronavirus to Exacerbate Gender Pay Gap: German Study" (The New York Times) Last year, Moms 4 Housing, a group of Bay Area activists and mothers, started a campaign to fight gentrification and institutional poverty in the city of Oakland, California. Now, with Covid-19 occurring, their campaign has taken on a whole new meaning to protect the homeless who are unable to shelter in place. "These Moms Fought for a Home—And Started a Movement" (Vogue) According to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University, a record number of 490 women have filed to run for House seats so far.
