And as promised, here are 10 uplifting stories to help end your week on a higher note.

1. Researchers developed a wearable device that tracks early symptoms of Covid-19. It can be worn 24/7, and is able to measure and interpret coughing intensity and body temperature data.

2. Meet China's livestream queen who's raised $32 million for Wuhan's struggling businesses. Four million people in China watched Viya as she sold and tasted everything from duck neck to crayfish.

3. The "Adopt a Family" program is connecting well-off Kenyan donors with needy families. Donors are sending money, groceries, and vital supplies to those who've lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

4. Australia's flying doctors are providing support for coronavirus cases in remote communities. The service has provided transportation for over 260 patients with suspected or confirmed Covid-19 cases.

5. Syrian refugees in Jordan designed a robot prototype made from LEGOs that automatically dispenses hand sanitizer. Their aim is to help prevent coronavirus by limiting touch with the sanitizer bottle.

6. These 4 women created a team of over 2,000 people to sew scrubs for frontline health workers. Scrubs have been in short supply in the U.K. and this team has contributed 4,000+ sets of scrubs to date.

7. This restaurant in Amsterdam is testing their social distance dinner service. Guests sat inside five newly installed, greenhouse-like glass enclosures called "Serres Séparées," or "Separate Greenhouses."

8. Street artists in western Russia are painting 75 giant portraits of WWII veterans. The murals are painted near their homes as a permanent gift to mark the upcoming 75th anniversary of the end of the war.

9. The owner of one of Germany's biggest nightclubs is keeping the party going with a drive-in disco. In the time of social distancing, this is one way of letting revelers enjoy a night out from the safety of their car.

10. Meet Fernando the sloth, the Phoenix Zoo's unlikely savior. The 4-year-old sloth joined Cameo, an app that charges users $50 for personalized shoutouts  to help the struggling zoos during the shutdown.
