Coronavirus | Supreme Court to hear PIL against PM CARES Fund on Monday On March 28, the Centre set up the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency situation, like the one currently posed by the coronavirus outbreak, and provide relief to those affected. 2. Coronavirus | Delhi govt to sanitise city’s red, orange zones from Monday, says Kejriwal According to the government, 34 hotspots in the national capital have been identified as COVID-19 containment zones. Odd-even rules will kick in for sale of vegetables at Delhi's Azadpur mandi from Monday. 3. Coronavirus | Supreme Court to hear plea seeking evacuation of 860 Indian fishermen from Iran The plea, scheduled to be heard through video-conferencing on Monday by a bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde, has also sought a direction to the government to send a medical team to conduct COVID-19 test on the fishermen. 4. Coronavirus | Mizoram to start virtual classes on television from today The lessons will be telecast daily from Monday to Saturday on Doordarshan Kendra Aizawl. Coronavirus | Meghalaya, Assam allow opening of liquor shops from today Along with the liquor shops, wholesale warehouses, bottling plants, distilleries and breweries have also been allowed in Assam to operate from Monday. Strict social distancing norm would be enforced at all the wine shops in Meghalaya besides an emphasis that people disinfect their hands. 6. Coronavirus | Wear mask in Ahmedabad or face Rs 5000 fine/3-year jail The Ahmedabad civic body has made it compulsory for people to wear masks from Monday. 7. Coronavirus | Nagaland government offices to resume work from today “The Nagaland civil secretariat, directorates in Kohima and Dimapur and all government offices in the districts shall resume their functioning with skeletal staff from Monday (April 13)," a memorandum issued here by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy said. 8. Coronavirus | Pakistan to take decision on lockdown on Monday Prime Minister’s Advisor on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said that Pakistan had fewer cases than projected but people should continue to follow the restrictions. It will be a mistake to relax, he said. 9. Coronavirus | Decision on IPL likely The BCCI has been waiting for an official announcement from the Centre, but with the chief ministers of various States making it clear that another extension is on the cards, the sports body may be left with no option but to postpone it further. 10. Israel government formation The Israel President has said no to a request by Parliament Speaker Benny Gantz for more time to form a government.
