No Face ID required: Apple Pay Express Mode now available for the London Underground, here's how to set it up

If you are in London, you can now travel using Apple Pay on the Underground network without having to use Touch ID or Face ID authentication.

This means that you don’t need to hold up the queue at the turnstile when travelling the Underground. You can simply tap and go with either iPhone or Apple Watch.

Japan's 10th Apple Store opens December 14 in Kawasaki

Apple’s 10th store in Japan is coming soon to Kawasaki, a first for the city. The new store will be Apple's fourth to open, move, or expand throughout Japan in 2019. Apple Kawasaki wraps a series of Japanese retail projects long previewed with teaser logos and promised to complete before the end of the year.

Apple has been playing the slow game with HomeKit compared to Amazon's Alexa ecosystem. Where Apple is working on detailed projects like HomeKit Secure Video, Amazon and Google are being bundled into nearly every device that has Wi-Fi in it. I love HomeKit, and I prefer it over Alexa or Google Assistant, but as we come to the end of 2019, I have four Amazon Echo Dots in my home and no HomePods.
