The longer I've been in enterprise IT, the more I've realized that Apple's tightly controlled system of hardware and software integration is exactly what IT departments crave. Apple controls every bit of driver updates as part of their OS upgrades, and that helps IT departments be more efficient. While IT departments used to be all in on Windows, we are starting to see that tide shift. Thanks to upgrades in the ability to manage Apple products in mass, and the simplicity of the Apple hardware and software configuration, IT departments are now seeing the value of Apple in the enterprise. Apple Store reopening roundup: Highland Village, Bridgewater, Mall of America, more

At six locations throughout the U.S., Japan, and China, Apple made this year's release a little more special by unveiling all-new and remodeled stores. These iOS 13 apps work with Dark Mode, Sign in with Apple, Voice Control, and more

iOS 13 has officially arrived with Dark Mode, Sign in with Apple, Voice Control, and loads of other features. Apple’s new system-wide Dark Mode changes the theme of Apple’s apps manually, based on time of day, or local sunset and sunrise. Third-party apps have to update for iOS 13 to respond to the same system setting (even if they already featured their own themes).

iPhone 11 Pro teardown reveals new board under battery, possibly for bilateral wireless charging

iFixit did a livestream this year of its iPhone 11 Pro teardown. Now it is diving in and analyzing all of its findings. Notably, iFixit has noticed a new board in the iPhone 11 Pro Max that was may have been included for the bilateral wireless charging feature that was expected but didn’t end up shipping with this year’s iPhones.

Despite Trump saying no, Apple's Mac Pro tariff exemption requests are being approved

Earlier this summer, Apple formally asked the Trump administration for tariff exemptions for its new Mac Pro and some accessories. Trump responded in a tweet that Apple would not be given waivers for Mac Pro parts and said “Make them in the USA, no Tariffs!” Despite those words, a new report says that Apple has been given tariff exemption approval for 10 of its recent requests for Mac Pro components and some of the company’s accessories.
