Instagram's translation issue

An issue I don't often think about is how building new tech, or adding features onto existing technology, can be especially challenging when you're developing it for a global audience. On this week's episode of Why'd You Push That Button?, Vox's Kaitlyn Tiffany and I discuss Close Friends on Instagram and the product's development. The team almost named it "Favorites" instead, but it opted not to after realizing the name didn't translate well.
