Opinion: Apple killed its most futuristic Mac with no true upgrade

Apple cleaned up its MacBook lineup this week with updated hardware, better prices, and one casualty: the 12-inch MacBook. While the MacBook Air and entry-level MacBook Pro saw changes (and Mac storage prices dropped), Apple killed off its lightest notebook after four years and three generations.

Final look at historic venue where first Macintosh and Apple Watch were unveiled before demolition

Five new iPads show up in Apple regulatory filings, suggests 10.2-inch iPad destined for September release

Apple has today filed for five new iPad model identifiers with the Eurasian Economic Commission.

These devices are registered as running iPadOS 13, which means Apple is intending to release the products in the fall alongside the final versions of iPadOS software.

China complains about Apple's App Store, Great Firewall is built even higher

Chinese state-run media have published a story looking at Apple’s App Store that criticizes the company for allowing fake reviews that trick people into downloading apps. The story was originally run by China National Radio and was picked up by other outlets around the country, an indication the government could be ramping up pressure on Apple amid a protracted trade war.

Apple launches developer accelerator program in Shanghai, China

Apple runs these offices in specific areas to stimulate the ‘app economy’. Participants can take classes in various parts of the app development process, including one-on-one tutorials, for free.
