Upgraded Apple Bondi reopens in Australia on June 29th

TomTom revamps navigation app with offline maps in CarPlay

Apple releasing fourth iOS 12.4 developer beta today

Following the release of iOS 12.3.2 to iPhone 8 Plus users yesterday, Apple today will release the fourth developer beta of iOS 12.4. The update doesn’t yet include any visible changes for users, but it’s likely laying the groundwork for future changes. Apple is also expected to release the third beta of watchOS 5.3 to developers today.

When will Apple release iOS 13 beta 2?

Opinion: Apple could, and should, do the right thing on tax

Apple has long aimed to do the right thing, not just the profitable one, on a great many fronts. On tax avoidance, not so much.

Apple could be the good guy here. It could be the one tech company to take a strong stand on paying its dues, rather than using any loophole it can find to minimize the amount of tax it pays.

That would, I suggest, be consistent with the company’s approach to other areas of corporate responsibility …

Apple cancels 700-acre data center project in Denmark, looks to sell off the land

In a surprise announcement, Apple has cancelled plans to open a large data center in Aabenraa, Denmark. The news was posted on the local town’s website. Apple is looking to sell off the land and leave the site completely.

The Aabenraa site was set to be Apple’s second data center in Denmark, first announced in July 2017. The company is also working on a facility in the city of Viborg …

All US iPhones can be made outside China to escape trade war, says Foxconn

With US iPhones currently made in China, there has been much concern about the escalating trade war between the two countries. The worst-case scenario would be a 25% tariff on iPhones entering the US, which would either push up prices, hurt Apple’s bottom line, or both.

But Foxconn has said that the iPhone would be able to escape this fate, as the assembler has enough capacity in other countries to supply all US iPhones …

Apple Pay support now rolling out to users in the Netherlands

After launching in Hungary and Luxembourg last month, Apple Pay today has gone live in the Netherlands. This means that iPad, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac users in the Netherlands can now use Apple’s mobile payment platform everywhere it is accepted.

Goldman Sachs isn't worried about Apple Card profitability despite consumer-friendly features

Last month, a report explained that Citigroup pulled out of its potential deal with Apple for the new Apple Card over profitability concerns. Apple ultimately partnered with Goldman Sachs for the card, and now a Goldman exec is defending the partnership despite profitability concerns.
