College football ticketing service announces support contactless entry with Apple Wallet

Apple Wallet and Apple Pay have gradually expanded to additional stadiums, events, and more over the last several years. Today, college athletics ticketing service Paciolan announced that it is adding support for Apple Wallet, allowing fans to enter football games using their iPhone or Apple Watch.

New trailer for Apple TV+ comedy 'Mythic Quest' teases 'Always Sunny' star Rob McElhenney as outlandish creative director

We first heard about the upcoming comedy series in the works for Apple TV+ from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney back in February. Now a full trailer for Mythic Quest was shared today at E3 2019 that gives a closer look at what to expect from the new series.

Going the distance with Apple Watch and Pokémon GO

Niantic’s Pokémon GO mobile app was an instant hit when it launched in the summer of 2016. Augmented reality-driven gameplay let players interact with familiar characters in an immersive way using the camera and screen on our phones. Unpredicted growth saw Niantic’s servers regularly struggle to keep up with the number of new players coming online around the world.

Those growing pains are now a thing of the past, and Niantic has added features like battling between players and in-game missions to keep players coming back. The feature that continues to keep me playing today is actually one designed to help you open the app less.

Former Apple SVP Bruce Sewell details search negotiations with Google & more in new interview

Apple's homepage teases the new Mac Pro's launch month, possibly in error [Update]

Update: The copy has been changed to ‘Coming This Fall,’ hinting that the September mention was indeed an error.

When Apple announced the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR last week, the company would only say that the products are launching this ‘fall’. The fall date was noted in both Apple’s keynote and press releases.

However, if you look at the Apple homepage right now, there’s a link to get notified about forthcoming Mac Pro news. If you click that link, a box appears that readily states the new Mac Pro is coming in September.

G20 agrees deadline for global tax crackdown on tech giants like Apple

The G20 has set a deadline for a two-prong tax crackdown on tech giants, which could hit companies like Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google and Uber. The 20 members have agreed to put in place by 2020 measures to stop international companies using tax loopholes to pay less tax than locally-based companies.

One of the arrangements used by Apple has been cited as an example of this type of loophole …
