Instagram overhauls IGTV with new TikTok-like algorithmic feed, streamlined interface

While Instagram has largely mastered the Stories format of Snapchat, its IGTV platform hasn’t yet seen the same mainstream success. A new report today from TechCrunch highlights how Instagram is revamping IGTV to be much more like a Snapchat and TikTok hybrid.

Microsoft Outlook for iOS updated with revamped Apple Watch notifications

[Update: Officially released] Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev builds for macOS now available

Late last year, Microsoft announced that its Edge browser would be coming to macOS, but without a timeline. Now, the Canary and Dev builds of the Chromium-based Edge browser have leaked before Microsoft’s official announcement and are available to download from the company’s servers.

Former Apple ad exec says Steve Jobs wanted to launch an Apple credit card in 2004, customers earned 'iPoints'

In a blog post, former Apple creative director Ken Segall reveals that Apple is no stranger to the credit card idea. In fact, in 2004, Steve Jobs / Apple was working on an iTunes credit card. UrbanWatch lets you browse Urban Dictionary on your wrist

We've covered many Watch-specific apps before, including the popular Twitter client Chirp and the Reddit client NanoReddit. With rumors of a standalone App Store coming to the Watch with watchOS 6, it's possible that these types of apps will become even more prevalent. One such app that's just received a significant update is UrbanWatch, which is a full-featured Urban Dictionary client for the Apple Watch and is releasing version 2.0 today.

Apple Stores are quietly selling a 23.7-inch LG UltraFine display

The saga of the LG UltraFine display mystery continues. After the disappearance of the LG 4K UltraFine display from the Apple Store, and the continued lack of availability for the 5K UltraFine, the plot thickens with the discovery from TidBITS that you can now buy a new 23.7-inch LG display from Apple that is otherwise unlisted.

The seemingly-unannounced display is priced at $699. This is the same price as the ‘old’ 21-inch 4K LG UltraFine, and a few hundred dollars below the sale price of the 5K sibling.

FCC chairman gives green light to T-Mobile and Sprint merger, but DOJ anti-trust concerns remain

T-Mobile and Sprint have faced delays, setbacks, and uncertainty as the two US carriers have sought merger approval over the last year. Today the two companies have scored a big win in their merger efforts, receiving the approval of FCC chairman Ajit Pai, but DOJ approval is still uncertain.

Apple Watch replacement constraint means some Series 3 repairs will get Series 4 upgrade

Apple appears to be running low on inventory for Apple Watch Series 3 repairs as the company informed store staff today that it will substitute some Series 3 repairs with the newer Apple Watch Series 4. Apple announced the change in an internal memo that was delivered to Apple Store repair staff and Apple's Authorized Service Providers, according to sources briefed on the update.

US no longer leads the global smart speaker market; HomePod falls into 'other'

Report: Apple to sell back its stake in Toshiba Memory as part of chip company's refinancing plans

In June last year, Toshiba sold its memory division to a four-company consortium that included Apple. However, now, Toshiba is going to buy back the shares it sold off to Apple, Dell, Kingston, and Seagate – as reported by The Wall Street Journal. The companies are expected to collect a tidy profit from their investment.

As facebook matured, we discovered the unintended consequences of living a life online. An errant, ignorant tweet from our teenage years can get us fired—or worse, canceled. Our parents could have created an entire instagram dedicated to our poopy-diaped years without our knowledge or express consent.
