A 30-year-old woman allegedly murdered her two sons — one of them a toddler — by throwing them into a lake, before she committed suicide by jumping into the waterbody near Kalkere, Magadi on Sunday.

Karnataka logs 7% jump in II PU pass, girls lead the way again
A total of 59.6% students passed 2017-18 II PU exams in Karnataka, a 7.1 increase over previous year, the PU board announced on Monday. Of the 6,85,713 students who took the exams, 4,08,421 passed. Board officials said the overall percentage has increased, but it isn’t a record.
