An unprecedented crisis gripped the AAP government in Delhi on Tuesday with chief secretary Anshu Prakash alleging that he was assaulted by party MLAs at the chief minister's residence around midnight on Monday. He claimed that he received blows on his head and temple in the presence of both the CM and deputy CM.

Cop guarding patient dies of bullet injury
A Delhi Police head constable died of a gunshot injury in his head at a hospital at Kingsway in northwest Delhi on Tuesday. The cop was deployed to secure an inmate undergoing treatment. It is unclear as to how the cop was shot. Police are probing a suicide bid as well as an escape bid by the inmate. However, the inmate has not managed to flee.

Tusker damages cars, shops in East Delhi
An elephant went berserk damaging cars and shops near Laxmi Nagar early on Monday leading to a major scare among the locals. The mahout and his aide suffered injuries while trying to control the pachyderm. Police started an inquiry into the incident after a video shot by a passerby went viral on social media. A probe revealed that the animal went rogue after the mahout tried to chain it while it was eating.
